Benchmarks are sorted by controller, then by hard disks used.
[edit] Areca ARC-1231ML
This section lists all benchmarks that involve the Areca ARC-1231ML RAID HBA that I have at my disposal.
Unless otherwise noted, filesystem is NTFS, OS is WinXP Pro, quickformat was used, the whole partition was formatted (all available space on the volume), the volume took up the entire available RAID set (all disks completely used) and I used the 4k windows compatibility to be able to access partitions larger than 2TB. I also didn't initialize the partitions, but just did a "recovery" mode, no init start to save time on switching volume settings.

Test ook : Block Size 4096Bytes >>> welke keuzes zijn er? De windows-+2TB grootte en normaal, of meer? Is er een standaard grootte? Testen met RAID 5, 6 en single disk. Member Disks 3 >>> heb ik voor alle raid types opgesomd denk ik, check of er nog mogelijkheden zijn. Cache Mode Write Back >>> Mogelijk alle bovenstaande benches herhalen met andere cache mode, maar ik denk dat enkel raid 5 met andere cache mode al genoeg "test" is. Misschien raid 6 ook nog. Is er een optie om cache uit te zetten? Test single disk ook. Tagged Queuing Enabled >>> test single disk en raid 5 met en zonder Volume State Normal >>> moet altijd normal zijn, anders gaat er niks gebeuren. CAVEAT : Ik cheat altijd door niet te initialiseren.
